On December 6, President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov held a regular meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers via digital system. The main topic of the meeting was the results of the work carried out by the government in January-November of this year and the main tasks for the remaining period until the end of the year. The meeting was reported on macroeconomic indicators, according to which state programs aimed at developing key sectors of the economy are being implemented in accordance with the established plans. The President noted the need to pay special attention to increasing the size of the state budget revenues and instructed employees of all institutions and enterprises to strictly monitor the payment of monthly salaries by December 20, the State Television and Radio Broadcasting of Turkmenistan reported. One of the main areas was the development of the fuel and energy complex. The President instructed to continue work on increasing oil and gas production, as well as expanding energy export routes. Particular attention was paid to the agricultural sector. The President instructed to prepare the land for the 2025 harvest, provide irrigation to agricultural areas and maintain an abundance of food products in the country, especially during the holidays. In the sphere of social policy, the President of Turkmenistan noted the importance of modernizing the healthcare system, improving education, and developing physical culture and sports. The main topic of the meeting was the international recognition of Turkmenistan. The head of state noted the importance of the Resolution “Treaty on a Nuclear-Weapon-Free Zone in Central Asia”, adopted by the General Assembly of the United Nations at the initiative of Turkmenistan. This event was a testament to the support of the country’s efforts to strengthen peace and security in the world. At the end of the meeting, Serdar Berdimuhamedov emphasized the need to carry out appropriate work to successfully implement current programs by the end of the year and meet 2025 with dignity.
